New Clinical Publications

Hako-Med has posted four new clinical research publications at our international website; www.hakomed.net. These trials further validate what we and most of you already experience on a daily basis: clinical results from our patented Horizontal® Therapy remain unequaled in the industry.  Additionally, Horizontal® Therapy is being investigated in several major ongoing clinical trials and we will post the results as soon as they are published.

Hako-Med has filed a patent infringement and trademark infringement lawsuit against Axiom Worldwide, Inc. in United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division on Wednesday the 27th of September 2006. A copy of the complaint can be downloaded here.

Sponge Usage and Care

When using sponges, with either the VasoPulse® cup electrodes or the flexible carbon electrodes, it is imperative that the sponges are sufficiently moistened. Having insufficient moisture will make it difficult to set the treatment intensity.
Most users clean sponges with a 50/50 solution of isopropyl alcohol and water. IMPORTANT: rinse the sponges thoroughly before using them on a patient.
All sponges need to be replaced periodically as it will become harder to clean them and the material will deteriorate over time.
Some physicians prefer to provide each patient with individuals sets of sponges.
